Volleyball Recap: Joliet Catholic Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Joliet Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers. The Hilltoppers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Joliet Catholic started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-15, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Joliet Catholic still got an impressive performance from Ella Godeaux, who had 24 digs. Godeaux has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played. Katie Selinger was another key player, getting 19 digs and two aces.

Joliet Catholic's record is now 4-12. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

Looking ahead, Joliet Catholic will take on Downers Grove North in a tournament on Friday. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Barrington at 6:00 p.m.
