The North Garland Raiders can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 68-57 victory over South Garland. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Despite the defeat, South Garland saw an underclassman step up: Elijah Darden scored 30 points along with three steals. That was a full 52.6% of South Garland's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Medford Body was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.

North Garland's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for South Garland, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.

North Garland will head out on the road to challenge Wylie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wylie has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 279 points over their last four contests. As for South Garland, they will be playing at home against Lakeview Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview Centennial is hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses.
