There's no place like home for Adirondack, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Canastota Red Raiders on Tuesday and snuck past 8-7. That's more bragging rights for Adirondack, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Mackenzie Grogg made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Grogg has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than seven innings every time she's pitched this season. Grogg was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Skyler Green was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Brea Barrow, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Adirondack made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-2.
