Basketball Game Preview: Bluffton Pirates vs. Allen East Mustangs

The Bluffton Pirates will face off against the Allen East Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bluffton beat Lincolnview 62-57.

Meanwhile, Allen East entered their tilt with Fort Jennings on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Musketeers 71-48. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Allen East pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Bluffton, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

Bluffton came up short against Allen East in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 40-28. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Allen East's Rilynn Jones, who posted 24 points and five rebounds.
