Wells piles up the points against Varsity Opponent

Recap: Wells Wells CSD vs. Varsity Opponent

The Wells Wells CSD scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Varsity Opponent on the road to the tune of 76-26. With that victory, Wells brought their scoring average up to 51.4 points per game.

Leading Wells to victory were Chase Brooks and Hunter Passmore. Brooks scored 25 points along with eight steals and six rebounds, while Passmore dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 16 rebounds, and ten steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brooks has scored at least 25% of Wells' points. Owen Humphrey was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.

The win makes it two in a row for Wells and bumps their season record up to 5-6. As for Varsity Opponent, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 233-806-9 record this season.

Wells' road trip will continue as they head out to face Keene Central at 6:30 p.m. on January 8th. Keene Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Varsity Opponent, they will square off against The Carmel School at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
