Softball Preview: Neosho Wildcats vs. Joplin Eagles        
        
		
             Neosho has gone 6-1 against Joplin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Tuesday. The Neosho Wildcats will venture away from home to  face off against the Joplin Eagles  at 5:00  p.m. Neosho is coming into the  contest on  a  four-game losing streak.
 Neosho will head into Thursday's  match ready to turn things around: they couldn't quite beat Ozark on Thursday, but the two-run margin was a huge improvement compared to the 13-run  loss they were dealt  on Tuesday. Neosho fell just short of Ozark by a score of  6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat the Wildcats have suffered  since September 7th.
  Carleigh Kinnaird put in work no matter where she played. She  tossed six innings while giving up  three earned  (and three unearned) runs off   five  hits. Kinnaird was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Kinnaird wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Autumn Kinnaird, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Joplin didn't have quite enough to beat Lee's Summit on Saturday and fell  3-2.
 Neosho's record now sits at 10-7. As for Joplin, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record  this season.
 Neosho skirted past Joplin  4-3 in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Neosho since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
