Volleyball Recap: Rushville Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

Rushville won the last time they faced Tri and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lions came out on top against the Titans by a score of 3-1. The game was the first time the Lions have beaten the Titans on their court since August 21, 2019.

Rushville walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 25-14.

KELSEY MORGAN paced Rushville's offense, picking up 12 kills. MORGAN got some help from LACEY CHASE and her 31 assists. MAKENNA RIPBERGER controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Despite the loss, Tri had strong showings from Ava Houchins, who had 20 digs and two assists, and Camrie Spurgin, who had 11 assists and seven digs.

Rushville's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Tri, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Rushville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Franklin County on the 21st. As for Tri, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Cowan on the 21st.
