Baseball Game Preview: Cypress Park Tigers vs. Langham Creek Lobos

For the second straight game, Cypress Park will face off against Langham Creek. The Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Lobos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Park has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight defeats, while Langham Creek will come in with three straight wins.

Last Tuesday, Cypress Park came up short against Langham Creek and fell 6-3.

For Langham Creek's part, Adam McNew spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. McNew also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Lobos are 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-13 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Grayson Moss was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Caden Thomas, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Cypress Park's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Langham Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.
