It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Manchester had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the South Range Raiders, sneaking past 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Rachel Baker spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alli Hodgkinson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Cayleigh Bowe also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Manchester's win bumped their record up to 25-5. As for South Range, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 23-10 record.

As of now, neither Manchester nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
