Soccer Game Preview: Rancho Cotate vs. Ukiah

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Rancho Cotate take on the Ukiah at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rancho Cotate's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Thursday, Rancho Cotate narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Montgomery 2-1.

Meanwhile, Ukiah hadn't done well against Windsor recently (they were 0-7-2 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Ukiah skirted past Windsor 3-2. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

Ukiah's victory bumped their record up to 13-3-1. As for Rancho Cotate, their win bumped their record up to 7-4-2.

Rancho Cotate skirted past Ukiah 1-0 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rancho Cotate since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
