Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lockney). Everything went their way against the Memphis Cyclones on Tuesday as they made off with a 22-7 win. The victory was nothing new for the Longhorns as they're now sitting on three straight.

Dyllan Thiebaud and Darrin Jimenez did most of the damage at the plate: Thiebaud fired off two home runs, four runs, and two stolen bases while going 4-for-4, while Jimenez went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave Thiebaud a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tucker Southard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Lockney was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 8-4. As for Memphis, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coming up, Lockney will be playing in front of their home fans against Floydada at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Whirlwinds have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Memphis, they will head out to challenge Wellington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Skyrockets have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
