Basketball Recap: Jeremiah Hale Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Central Valley

There's no place like home for Yreka, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down the Central Valley Falcons 68-51 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-39 back in January.

Yreka's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeremiah Hale, who posted 17 points. Those 17 points gave Hale a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nathan Fitzpatrick, who put up 15 points.

When it comes to explaining why Central Valley lost, don't look at Hayden Webster. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 11 en route to 16 points. Webster is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. TJ Saechao was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Yreka's victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Central Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-22 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Yreka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-65 loss against University Prep on the 4th. As for Central Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-40 defeat against West Valley on the 4th.
