Basketball Game Preview: Westside Seminoles vs. Jackson Red Devils

Westside and Jackson are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Westside Seminoles will be playing at home against the Jackson Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westside will be strutting in after a win while Jackson will be coming in after a defeat.

Westside is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Rutland to the tune of 70-37 on Friday. The Seminoles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-37 heartbreaker at the hands of Hampton. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Red Devils have suffered since November 22, 2024.

Westside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.3 points. As for Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-17.

Everything went Westside's way against Jackson in their previous meeting back in January, as Westside made off with a 50-30 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Jackson's Ariyah Burke, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds.
