Sonoma County recap Nov. 7, 2012

Piner took down Elsie Allen 55-10 last week, the largest margin of any game. Noel Hernandez threw for 384 yards and six touchdowns and ran for 17 yards in the win.

Healdsburg made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,267 from 11,442. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 41-0 victory over El Molino last week.

Austin Nahmens was the best wideout in Sonoma County this week as the Prospectors topped the Lobos. Nahmens tallied six receptions for 131 yards. Natu Hezchias helped Piner's passing attack out by catching six balls for 105 yards.

Dan Deely was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 17 carries, he ran for 89 yards as Sonoma Valley bested Elsie Allen. Teammate Justin McDonald added to the ground attack by rushing for 15 yards.

John Antonio's team's Hernandez and Hezchias have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hernandez has thrown for 2871 yards this season, while Hezchias, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 71 catches for 1088 yards. Kyle Lewis from Analy leads the league in rushing with 756 yards.

Entering into this week's contest against Tamalpais, Darin Newman is short just 111 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season. Accruing a total of 29 touchdowns this year, Newman has thrown for 1889 yards with six interceptions.

The Dragons' Dustin Sloane is only 34 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Cardinal Newman. So far this year, he has garnered 38 catches for 966 yards.

The Prospectors led Sonoma County in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Larry Mahre's team. Hernandez in the win.
