Basketball Recap: Sherwood Comes Up Short

Sherwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Adrian Blackhawks, falling 63-25. The Marksmen were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-17.

Despite the defeat, Sherwood saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kiah Felton posted ten points along with six rebounds and three steals. Felton is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Sherwood's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Adrian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sherwood will take on Archie at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Adrian, they will head out on the road to challenge Nevada at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Adrian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
