Football Recap: Mayfield Trojans vs. Gadsden Panthers
Mayfield was the 13-12 winner over Gadsden when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Mayfield Trojans fell 28-20 to the Gadsden Panthers on Thursday.
It was another big night for Alfredo Andrade, who rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 34 receiving yards for Gadsden. Andrade's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 132 rushing yards dating back to last season.

As for Gadsden, they will challenge Artesia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gadsden's defense has only allowed 6.5 points per game this season, so Artesia's offense will have their work cut out for them.
