Master's Academy hasn't had much luck against Mount Dora Christian Academy recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Master's Academy's pitcher stepped up to hand Altamonte Christian a 27-0 shutout. The match marked Master's Academy's most dominant victory of the season.

Katie Daniel was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Maddie Fend also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.
Master's Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .711. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Mount Dora Christian Academy posted their closest win since February 18th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Foundation Academy, sneaking past 7-6.
Katie Bayly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits.
At the plate, Lily Bryant was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-3. Emmi Bowman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Master's Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.4 runs over those games. Mount Dora Christian Academy's record is now 10-4.
Mount Dora Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Master's Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Mount Dora Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.1 strikeouts. Will Master's Academy keep running through batters, or will Mount Dora Christian Academy buck the trend?
