Volleyball Recap: Caldwell Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Caldwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Middleton Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14, 25-14.

Bailey Kingsford paced Caldwell's offense, picking up five kills. Kingsford got some help from Maryn MacDonald and her ten assists. Finally, June Hokom kept Caldwell's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Middleton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Caldwell has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Bishop Kelly on the 7th. As for Middleton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Lakeland on the 3rd.
