Volleyball Game Preview: Valdosta Wildcats vs. Buford Wolves

The Valdosta Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Buford Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valdosta will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each match than the last.

Valdosta will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Maclay, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. The Wildcats came out on top against the Marauders by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 18-25, 25-11, 25-20.

Maddie Sutherland was the offensive standout of the contest as she had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last ten matches.

Sutherland wasn't the only good servers: Valdosta was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. The Wildcats are 12-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Buford came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hawks.

Buford was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-10, 25-22.

Valdosta's record now sits at 21-18. As for Buford, their record is now 27-3.
