Softball Recap: Turner Lions vs. Lone Star Rangers

Turner had lost four straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 8-8 to make it five. They lost 24-2 to the Lone Star Rangers. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Rangers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Turner saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Cervantes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

As for Lone Star, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

On Lone Star's side, Vaeda Dellow made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Dellow has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
