Recap: Longview Christian vs. First Baptist Saints
Longview Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 62-30 loss at the hands of First Baptist. Longview Christian has struggled against First Baptist recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Emily Kate Jones continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for First Baptist, dropping a double-double on 44 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolbie Gillispie, who scored nine points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Longview Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for First Baptist, the victory was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.
Longview Christian will head out on the road to face off against Trinity School of Texas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for First Baptist, they will be playing at home against Heritage Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
