Basketball Recap: City Honors Comes Up Short

City Honors was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by The Park School of Buffalo Pioneers 72-32. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Centaurs of the 72-50 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

The Park School of Buffalo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Greene, who shot 5-for-9 from deep and dropped a double-double with 31 points and 15 rebounds. The Park School of Buffalo is 2-1 when Greene posts 25 or more points, but 9-11 otherwise. Jake Stuckey was another key player, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards.

City Honors' loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for The Park School of Buffalo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. City Honors will head out to square off against Kenmore East at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for The Park School of Buffalo, they will head out on the road to take on West Seneca East at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
