Basketball Recap: Erie Victorious

Erie's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Cornerstone Family Saints by a score of 61-48.

It was another big night for Reid Duff, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.9 points per game. Grant Reissig also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Erie was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Erie's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Cornerstone Family, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Erie has already played their next matchup (against Jayhawk Linn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cornerstone Family has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Heritage Christian Academy.
