After a string of four wins, Barron Collier's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They fell just short of the Gulf Coast Sharks by a score of  15-14. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  last Tuesday (13), the Cougars still had to take the loss.
 Gianna Frino made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored four  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Gianna Arroyo, who  went 2-for-4 with five  RBI and two  doubles.
 Frino wasn't the only one working in the  hit department: Barron Collier  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Barron Collier's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Gulf Coast, the  win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
 Barron Collier will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Aubrey Rogers at 7:00  p.m.  on March 19th. Gulf Coast also won't see the field for a while: their next  matchup is against Bishop Verot at 7:00  p.m.  on March 18th.
