John Carroll snaps four-game streak of losses on the road

The John Carroll Patriots's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They walked away with a 78-65 win over Calvert Hall. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Calvert Hall still got an impressive performance from Brendan Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Johnson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terry Fields, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
John Carroll's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3. As for Calvert Hall, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-6.
John Carroll's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Anne's-Belfield at 8:15 p.m. on December 15th. One thing working in St. Anne's-Belfield's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Calvert Hall will be home for the holidays to greet Loyola Blakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Loyola Blakefield is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
