Volleyball Recap: Weir Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Weir and Wheeling Central Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Weir had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Maroon Knights. The Red Riders haven't had much luck with the Maroon Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Weir took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-13, 25-18.

Illionna Kirlangitis paced Weir's offense, picking up four kills. Kirlangitis got some help from Amalia Kirlangitis and her ten assists. Kylie MacPherson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Weir's loss dropped their record down to 7-20-1. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-10.

As of now, neither Weir nor the Maroon Knights have any future games scheduled.
