Baseball Recap: Temecula Valley Wins Going Away Against Murrieta Mesa

Temecula Valley lost to Murrieta Mesa on Wednesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Golden Bears put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 13-5 win. The game was the first time the Golden Bears have beaten the Rams on their field since April 26, 2023.

Scott Forest looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Temecula Valley got a massive performance out of Stone Tucker, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave Tucker a new career-high. Landon Scott also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Temecula Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

Temecula Valley's record is now 12-9. As for Murrieta Mesa, they moved to 13-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
