Flag Football Game Preview: Gilbert Tigers vs. Liberty Lions + Official Tickets

The Gilbert Tigers will take on the Liberty Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Gilbert has five straight wins, Liberty has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Wednesday, Gilbert made easy work of Mesa and carried off a 27-7 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 20 points or more this season.

Gilbert's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jaylin Guerrero, who rushed for 45 yards and one TD, and Lilah Barton, who rushed for 34 yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Barton has posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, Liberty fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Basha on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 21-14 to the Bears. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bears 7-0 in the first quarter.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Gilbert, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
