Fruitdale suffers eighth straight loss at home

This season hasn't been kind to the Fruitdale Pirates, who are still winless after their 16th game. They received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 58-44 to Millry. Fruitdale has not had much luck with Millry recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Fruitdale lost, one person who can't be blamed is Deion Taylor. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was CJ Weaver, who scored eight points along with five steals.

Fruitdale's loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Millry, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Fruitdale the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Satsuma at 5:00 p.m. on January 25th. Satsuma has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. As for Millry, Millry and Choctaw County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Choctaw County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
