Soccer Recap: Union Colony Prep Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Union Colony Prep unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Nederland Panthers on Monday, falling 7-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Timberwolves of the 8-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Nederland and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union Colony Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Valley at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Nederland, they are taking a road trip to challenge STEM School Highlands Ranch at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give Nederland their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
