Watertown was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They had just enough and edged out the White House-Heritage Patriots 17-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Purple Tigers have posted since October 17, 2024.

Garrett Davis produced another solid effort rushing for 88 yards and one score, while also throwing for 123 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Watertown's run defense was locked in: White House-Heritage could only muster 1.7 yards per carry. The Purple Tigers' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.1.

Despite the loss, White House-Heritage still got an impressive performance from Xavier Murray, who threw for 195 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
