Basketball Game Preview: Harlan Hawks vs. Clemens Buffaloes

The Harlan Hawks will square off against the Clemens Buffaloes on Monday. Harlan is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

Harlan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 52-51 victory over Vandegrift.

Harlan can attribute much of their success to Kameron Williams, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Moore, who earned nine points.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Clemens against Hanna on Friday as the squad secured an 85-27 win. Given the Buffaloes' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 419th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clemens has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-12 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.7 points. Harlan's victory bumped their record up to 24-10.
