Basketball Recap: Brushton-Moira Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Brushton-Moira kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Franklin Academy Huskies and fell 78-20. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-10.

Franklin Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brad Poupore led the charge by going 8-for-13 to rack up 18 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Poupore is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Hesseltine, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Coming up, Brushton-Moira will face off against Lisbon Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin Academy, they will square off against Gouverneur at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
