Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Sam Wyly stepped things up a notch to give Kern Valley the 'W'. Wyly made a splash, striking out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Considering she played a big game the last time she faced off against Desert back in April, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Wyly has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Wyly and Kern Valley will take on Torres at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Toros swept Riverdale off the field in their last game, a feat they'll no doubt try to repeat.
