Basketball Recap: GREEN Upstate Takes a Loss

GREEN Upstate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 40-32 to the Whitmire Wolverines. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 37-27 last Thursday.

Whitmire found their leader in sophomore Brooklynn Babb, who posted 14 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Brooks, who earned eight points and six steals.

GREEN Upstate's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Whitmire, their record now sits at 4-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. GREEN Upstate will challenge Dixie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixie will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something GREEN Upstate surely won't give up without a fight. As for Whitmire, they will square off against Abbeville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
