Baseball Game Preview: Seabury Spartans vs. Hana Dragons

For the second straight game, Seabury will face off against Hana. Seabury will be playing at home against Hana at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Seabury took a loss when they played away from home back in February, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Hana. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Asher Halick and Kayden 'Bob' Volner made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Halick struck out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Volner tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Halick scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Volner scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Duke Dodge, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ha'Alohi Dancil, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Seabury's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hana, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-1.
