Glynn Academy (Brunswick, Ga.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 27-14 victory over
Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, Ga.) on Saturday. The Terrors took the lead for good when
Zach Lamper ran for a touchdown.
The Terrors led 14-0 at halftime, but the Tigers regained the lead on a touchdown with 8:00 to go in the fourth. Glynn Academy finally took the lead for the win when Lamper ran for a touchdown with 6:00 to go in the fourth quarter.
GA saw its 14-point halftime lead fall to seven entering the fourth.
The Brunswick school came in allowing an average of 23.0 points per game this season. The Terrors held firm on the defensive front, and kept Bradwell Institute well below the 29.0 points it had been averaging per game.
The loss comes after Bradwell Institute defeated Windsor Forest 43-28 last week. The loss snapped Bradwell Institute's two-game winning streak.
Glynn Academy (3-4) goes up against Effingham County in a AAAAA Region 3 game matchup next week, while Bradwell Institute (3-4) locks horns with Richmond Hill also in a AAAAA Region 3 game.
