Basketball Recap: Claymont Takes a Loss

Claymont lost against Carrollton back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Claymont Mustangs lost 64-39 to the Carrollton Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 633rd, while the Warriors are ranked 157th).

Claymont has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Carrollton, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Claymont has already played their next contest (against Hiland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Carrollton will challenge Minerva at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
