Basketball Recap: Bishop Carroll Takes a Loss

Bishop Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 59-27 loss at the hands of the Heights Falcons. Having soared to a lofty 56 points in the game before, the Golden Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

It was another big night for Chase Robinson, who went 9-for-13 on his way to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals for Heights. Robinson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 54% in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Amalachi Wilkins, who went 6-for-7 to rack up 14 points and five boards.

Bishop Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Heights, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Bishop Carroll and Heights should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Bishop Carroll (ranked 139th) will meet North (ranked 283rd) on Friday. Meanwhile, Heights will square off against West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 232 places (16 vs. 248).
