Baseball Recap: East River Victorious

East River was handed a 11-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They skirted past the Satellite Scorpions 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since February 26th.

Not much got past Elijah Sealey, who gave up just four hits to keep Satellite off the board. Sealey also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because East River is 5-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 8-9 otherwise.

East River's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Satellite, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East River will face off against University at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Satellite, they will welcome Rockledge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
