Gilpin County's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Belleview Christian Bruins 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-12.

Elise Vincent paced Gilpin County's offense, picking up 17 kills. Vincent got some help from Adele Fisher and her 12 assists. Vincent was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Gilpin County's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11. As for Belleview Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
