Softball Recap: Smethport Takes a Loss

Smethport fell victim to Northern Potter and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 15-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Hubbers in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Smethport's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Northern Potter, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Coming up, Smethport will venture away from home to square off against Port Allegany at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hubbers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gators have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Northern Potter, they will welcome Williamson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
