Baseball Game Preview: Curwensville Golden Tide vs. Williamsburg Blue Pirates

The Curwensville Golden Tide will square off against the Williamsburg Blue Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Friday, Curwensville came up short against Redbank Valley and fell 6-2. The Golden Tide have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Curwensville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Pentz, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Williamsburg came up short against Mount Union on Friday, falling 10-1. The game marked the Blue Pirates' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Williamsburg now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Curwensville, they now also have a losing record of 3-4.

Curwensville came out on top in a nail-biter against Williamsburg in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Golden Tide repeat their success, or do the Blue Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
