Centennial Baptist took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies 29-26. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Centennial Baptist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Katie Oostra led the charge by shooting 63% from the field on her way to 14 points. That's the most points Oostra has posted since back in December of 2024. Anna Hayek was another key player, putting up seven points.

Greenleaf Friends Academy has already played their next contest, a 41-27 defeat against Tri-Valley on the 21st. Hopefully Centennial Baptist paid attention to the Grizzlies' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
