Soccer Recap: Spruce Comes Up Short

Spruce lost against Adams back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spruce Timberwolves came up short against the Adams Cougars, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while the Cougars are ranked 51st).

Spruce's loss dropped their record down to 2-2-2. As for Adams, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0-2.

Spruce has already played their next match (against West Mesquite), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Adams will venture away from home to take on Seagoville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Adams' defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Seagoville's offense will have their work cut out for them.
