Basketball Game Preview: Wheeler Mustangs vs. Memphis Cyclones

The Wheeler Mustangs will face off against the Memphis Cyclones at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheeler will be strutting in after a victory while Memphis will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Wheeler turned things around against Highland Park on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Hornets as they made off with a 43-19 win. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

Meanwhile, Memphis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Panhandle and fell 82-13. The matchup marked the Cyclones' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Wheeler's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-11. As for Memphis, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
