Baseball Recap: Barstow Takes a Loss

Barstow lost against Adelanto back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Barstow lost 11-1 to Adelanto. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Barstow got a good showing from Joseph Hererra, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hererra also tossed no walks, which is notable because Barstow is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-4 otherwise.

Barstow now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Adelanto, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.

Looking ahead, Barstow will take on Victor Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Adelanto, they will square off against Notre Dame at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Notre Dame will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Adelanto surely won't give up without a fight.
