It was a good run, but Moore Haven unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas.

New Smyrna Beach found their leader in sophomore Sofia Mackin, who had six digs and three aces. Kiara Joseff also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Moore Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for New Smyrna Beach, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 7-11 record.

Moore Haven wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Winter Springs on the 3rd. As for New Smyrna Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Space Coast on the 3rd.
