Basketball Game Preview: Chippewa Hills Warriors vs. Tri County Area Vikings

The Chippewa Hills Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Tri County Area Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chippewa Hills is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Chippewa Hills was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-43 to Morley Stanwood.

Meanwhile, Tri County Area lost to Kent City at home by a 75-57 margin on Tuesday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chippewa Hills will need to focus on slowing down Preston Pifer, one of several Tri County Area players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 13 points. Thanks to that strong game, Pifer now owns an excellent 46.7% shooting accuracy. Jason Guerra was another key player, going 6-for-13 to rack up 12 points and eight boards.

Even though they lost, Tri County Area was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Chippewa Hills' record is now 6-13. As for Tri County Area, their record is now 4-15.

Chippewa Hills didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Tri County Area in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 55-49 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chippewa Hills since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
