Volleyball Recap: Blackstone-Millville Comes Up Short

Blackstone-Millville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Academy of the Pacific Rim.

Blackstone-Millville took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-18, 19-25, 25-17, 15-9.

When it comes to explaining why Blackstone-Millville lost, don't look at Brenna Kotsianas. Despite the final result, she had nine assists and eight aces. With that strong performance, Kotsianas is now averaging an impressive 2.4 aces per game. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Millette, who had five kills and four aces.

Blackstone-Millville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Academy of the Pacific Rim, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.

Coincidentally, Blackstone-Millville and Academy of the Pacific Rim will both be playing Foxborough Regional Charter the next time they take the court. The Chargers will host Foxborough Regional Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Academy of the Pacific Rim will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
